As Israel and Hamas wage battle, tensions rise. What common ground can Jews and Muslims in America find?

Cipora Eisenberg-Simms checked in with her sisters to see how they were handling the shocking,

traumatic events after brutal attacks by Hamas militants on Israeli citizens provoked a bloody response.

The sisters Eisenberg-Simms interviews are Jewish and Muslim;

they are not related by blood but rather by friendship and fellowship ...

 that have developed over years of conversations about everything from their similar experiences as mothers, daughters, and wives to their divergent views on politics, religion, and culture.

Eisenberg-Simms is a member of Sisterhood of Salaam Shalom,

a nonprofit organization based in Pennsylvania that brings Jewish and Muslim women together to converse,

get to know one another, offer support to one another, and work toward world peace.
