Broncos Trade Suggestion Sends All-Star to NFC Powerhouse

Despite Sean Payton's leadership, the Denver Broncos are nowhere near postseason contention.

With back-to-back games against the Green Bay Packers and Kansas City Chiefs, Denver is off to a 0-7 start.

With a 1-5 record through six games, the Broncos are worst in the AFC West.

With the club unlikely to get its act together anytime soon, Denver should focus on the NFL trade deadline on October 31.

Mike Jones and Jeff Howe of The Athletic examined six NFL deals they would want to see happen before the deadline on October 17.

Jones desired that Patrick Surtain II be transferred to an NFC contender in exchange for 2024 second and 2025 third-round picks.

The Lions are positioned to win the NFC North, but Emmanuel Moseley's ruptured right ACL sustained last week (in his first game back from a damaged left ACL) is a significant setback.

As they prepare for a deep playoff run, they'd love to add another difference-maker to their secondary.
