The Chicago Bulls were among the teams believed to be interested in trading for Damian Lillard earlier this offseason
Although the now-Milwaukee Bucks player did not sign with the Bulls, one of the relationships that made it possible remains strong:
his friendship with Bulls standout DeMar DeRozan, a friend and fellow Goodwin Sports Management client.
"My brother fr," Lillard captioned an Instagram video of him and DeRozan catching up before the Bulls and Bucks played off on October 8.
Lillard has long been a fan of DeRozan, even commenting on his trade to the San Antonio Spurs in 2018.
"It's disappointing," Lillard stated in June 2018, according to Orlando Sanchez of KGW TV. "I know how DeMar felt about being in Toronto because
he is a friend of mine." He's been there his entire career... You recognize that it is a business. But that's just a bad situation that I didn't see coming."
Chicago's interest in Lillard swiftly changed to capitalizing on the potential fallout, which included Miami Heat guard Tyler Herro if Lillard received
his wish for a trade to South Beach. They were also among the teams considered to be of interest to Jrue Holiday.
