Jerry Jones, the owner of the Dallas Cowboys, has indicated a need for better performance from the team's starting wide receiver, Michael Gallup
Jones stated that he noticed some difficulties with Gallup's performance during the Week 6 game against the Los Angeles Chargers
He also stated that Gallup had not fully recovered from his ACL rupture in January 2022.
Jerry Jones highlighted his concerns about Gallup's play with 105.3 The Fan's "Shan and RJ"
on October 17, 2023, and emphasised that the wide receiver is still evolving following his injury.
"I thought Gallup had a little problem in the game," said Jones. "I believe he's still evolving. I know he's sick of hearing it, but I'm trying.
to recover from his injury, but we saw nice games from our receivers yesterday [against the Chargers on October 16]."
Jones, in an unprecedented move for an NFL owner, also provided precise input on Gallup's catching mechanics
Coaches are usually more restrained in their public comments about individual players, but Jones was open about his expectations.
