Deion Sanders is taking over as head coach at Colorado
Colorado's BOULDER Colorado's new head coach, Deion Sanders, will bring his charisma and outsized personality
to the struggling Pac-12 team, which has fallen to the bottom of college football.
The agreement was declared on Saturday evening by Rick George, the CU athletic director.
Since 2020, the Pro Football Hall of Famer has been a student at Jackson State, a historically Black university that competes in Division I'
s second tier of the NCAA. The Tigers have won back-to-back Southwestern Athletic Conference championships under Sanders' leadership.
In the SWAC championship game on Saturday in Jackson, Mississippi, the Tigers defeated Southern,
and a few hours later Colorado declared his intention to play in Boulder.
