Deion Sanders' message hits home with NBA star Ja Morant

They say you never know when your actions will affect someone else. Many people in the sports world agree with Deion Sanders' statements.

The Colorado Buffaloes coach did nothing out of the ordinary when he posted his daily devotional on X, but it got the attention of Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant.

"What do you think of yourself? You must begin to view yourself as God sees you. Sanders penned, "You are Fearfully and Wonderfully Made."

"You're more than just a Conqueror." You were made for dominion, and you are blessed! Please recognize all of the good in your life and quit allowing the bad."

Morant needed a boost of energy and took it to heart. On Wednesday, he responded to Sanders.

Sanders has led the Buffs to a winning record in his first seven games as head coach. He's a true "players coach" who tries to motivate anyone who will listen.

It has been a tenet of his mentality throughout his Hall of Fame career.

Morant has faced his fair share of difficulties in the last two years. As punishment for a number of off-court incidents, the NBA All-Star point guard will serve a 25-game suspension to begin the season.
