Deion Sanders of Colorado football beat out Alabama and Georgia for a major 2025 QB recruit.

The Deion Sanders influence is now paying dividends for Colorado football in terms of recruiting. Antwann Hill Jr.,

a high school junior, chose the Buffaloes over offers from Alabama, Georgia, LSU, Florida State, and Clemson.

Following the news, Hill outlined his motivation for joining Colorado.

"[The coaches] think I fit their scheme, what they've got going up there," Hill revealed to ESPN's Tom VanHaaren. "Coach [Sean] Lewis

and Coach Prime both want me to take over once Shedeur leaves, so I'd be the next guy up who is a highly ranked quarterback to get that job."

And I think I'd benefit from studying from Shedeur. Just taking notes from him, incorporating his leadership abilities into mine.

. They were really saying, "Be ready to take over when Shedeur leaves because I'm the next man up."

Hill also stated that the stadium's support during his visit for the Stanford game affected his decision.

"The crowd, fans yelling my name, saying, 'We want AJ,'" Hill went on to explain. "That was something I hadn't seen before,

and it was something I didn't expect from that visit." So, basically, everything just astonished me."
