NFC North trade targets: Lions acquire a CB, while Bears, Packers and Vikings sell
The NFL trade deadline is soon coming on October 31. Here are several agreements that each NFC North team should look into.
Johnson recently indicated a desire to remain in Chicago, but noted that he is "not oblivious" to trade rumours or the NFL's business.
Johnson, 24, might be a cornerstone of the Bears' future. He will, however, be available on the open market this summer,
and the organisation has shown in the past that players in that position with worth frequently end up packing their belongings.
The Bears already have a lot of draught capital to help them rebuild, but there are worse things they could do than trade Johnson.
With a second-round pick in 2020, the Bears must decide whether to re-sign Johnson or risk losing him for nothing. If they find the first choice impossible, a deal is almost certain.
Meanwhile, the San Francisco 49ers have not been shy about being aggressive around the trade deadline.
Bringing in a player like Johnson, who thrives in coverage, seemed to be just up their alley.
