NFL world reacts to huge Jets trade new

In Week 6, the New York Jets pulled off one of the biggest upsets in NFL history, defeating the Philadelphia Eagles.

Despite this, they appear to be sellers ahead of the NFL trade deadline.

The team signed veteran running back Dalvin Cook only weeks before the season began, but he hasn't had the impact that some expected of him this year.

Cook is averaging only 2.8 yards per carry this season and appears to be moving further down the Jets depth chart as starter running back Breece Hall recovers.

According to The Athletic's Diana Russini, this has resulted in the organization making him available to potential bidders in trade negotiations ahead of the deadline.

Along with making Cook available, the Jets are also considering trades for veteran pass rusher Carl Lawson, who has fallen out of favor with the coaching staff.

Given their troubles this season, it appears that Jets supporters are overwhelmingly in favor of dealing these two veterans in order to potentially acquire younger players.

While this could be considered by some as the Jets selling some of their talent, it is actually a move that could help their play, not harm it.
