Op-Ed: Nobody cares about Washington when you have Colorado and Deion Sander
Some people are upset that Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes are back on ABC's primetime schedule alongside No.
25 UCLA. Those so-called fans went on social media and launched into full rants about how No.
5 Washington, who will play Stanford next week, was being overshadowed. I am sorry to break it to you, but Deion Sanders is the main draw.
According to FOX Sports, the ratings indicate that a sizable portion of the nation watched CU's
first seven games, with an average of 8.5 million viewers through September. The Rocky Mountain Showdown between CSU and ESPN had comparable
ratings. With 3.3 million viewers tuning into the Stanford game at 10:20 p.m., it has somewhat slowed down.
Additionally, it goes beyond television ratings. Both home and away tickets have sold out for all seven of CU's games.
With UCLA and their matchup at the Rose Bowl, there will be an eighth. The majority of the nation is not eagerly anticipating Michael Penix Jr.'s Heisman campaign to continue.
