'Oppenheimer' Has a Digital and 4K Blu-ray Release Date!

Although it is still playing in theaters—a testament to the film's success—Christopher Nolan's masterwork Oppenheimer has finally established

a digital release date as well as a physical release date in shops across the country. The film is currently playing

in select cinemas across the world, particularly in the IMAX format, but fans can now take it home with them.

Oppenheimer will be available on digital, 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD on November 21, exactly four months after it was premiered in theaters.

This release date corresponds to what the film's producer, Emma Thomas, told the Associated Press last month,

when she said the film would not be available to buy digitally or view at home until "late November."

the film stars Cillian Murphy as J. Robert Oppenheimer, the theoretical physicist who served as the director of the Manhattan Project,

was a covert research organization tasked with producing and deploying the world's first weapon of mass destruction,

with the ultimate goal of bringing the Second World War to a close by using it on Japan's empire. Robert Downey Jr.,

Emily Blunt, Florence Pugh, Matt Damon, Kenneth Branagh, Jason Clarke, Josh Harnett, Dylan Arnold, Benny Safdie, James D'Arcy, Tony Goldwyn, Olivia Thirlby, and Jack Quaid also appear in the picture.
