Taylor Sheridan's '6666': Everything We Know So Far About The 'Yellowstone' Spinoff, Including The Release Date, Trailer, And More

Taylor Sheridan, with his broad selection of TV projects already on streaming providers and/or in development, is unstoppable.

Yes, the original Yellowstone series will terminate after Season 5's back half, assuming filming resumes after Kevin Costner's departure.

Yellowstone has previously had two prequels. This includes 1883, which stars Sam Elliott, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, and Billy Bob Thornton,

as well as 1923, which will return for Season 2 with Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren.

In addition, Matthew McConaughey will use his Texan drawl in a Yellowstone-related series, though specifics are still being kept under wraps.

The number 6666 is a reference to the "Four Sixes" or the real-life 6666 Ranch in Guthrie, Texas.

The title alludes to a Yellowstone Season 5 episode in which Beth Dutton was inspired by the ranch "to start selling Yellowstone-branded beef."

As a spinoff, 6666 will chronicle the lives of the ranch's cowboys, maybe with soap-opera drama like the first show
