Following his playing career, famed NFL quarterback Tom Brady is attempting to take on ownership of the Las Vegas Raiders, having agreed to purchase a minority position in the team earlier this year.
Unfortunately for him, the deal appears to have fallen through.
Despite the fact that Tom Brady agreed to become a minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders months ago, his purchase has yet to be approved by the league owners
and it doesn't appear that this will change anytime soon, as the owners didn't even discuss Brady's ownership bid at their meetings this week.
As Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk points out, Brady faces an uphill struggle to gain league permission.
"There appear to be numerous potential reasons for the failure to rubber stamp Brady's acquisition of what is believed to be 5% of the Raiders."
From the new rule against giving employees equity (which Davis spoke out against at the meeting where it was adopted) to Brady's upcoming broadcasting career with Fox to
"a discount of up to approximately 70%" in the price charged by Davis to Brady, Florio wrote for Pro Football Talk.
