What We Thought Of Spider-Man 2 On The PS5

We've completed Insomniac's most recent open-world Marvel adventure and have some observations to share.

One of the biggest games of 2023 is Marvel's Spider-Man 2, which many of us at Kotaku have been playing a lot these past few weeks.

Following the conclusion of the primary narrative, Kotaku reporters Zack Zwiezen and Ethan Gach convened

accompanied by a surprise appearance by Jen Glennon, Kotaku's new Editor in Chief

to go over the highlights and low points of Insomniac's most recent PlayStation 5 blockbuster.

The fact that so little of Spider-Man 2 that I truly enjoyed had anything to do with the main Venom narrative is one of the things that has left me so conflicted about the film.

Even while there were some very great moments and elements, overall, this rendition of Spider-Man becoming venomous

giving up venom, and then eliminating venom did not really stick in my memory among all the variations I've seen over the years.

I had the same emotions. And the reason for that, in my opinion, is mostly that Kraven receives a lot of screen time in this game,

despite the fact that he is a complete bore who appears sparingly and never truly interacts with the main cast.
