Iconic Manager Dusty Baker Set to Hang up His Hat

Dusty Baker, manager of the Houston Astros, will retire after 26 seasons of managing.

The announcement will take place at a press conference at Minute Maid Park.

Baker came out of retirement four years ago and led the Astros to two World Series appearances.

He still wishes to remain involved in baseball in an advisory role with a team.

Baker's career includes 2,183 regular season wins, ranking seventh in MLB history.

He won division titles with five different teams and led teams to pennants in both the National League and American League.

Baker was a calming influence during a turbulent time for the Astros, following the sign-stealing scandal.

The Astros won the 2022 World Series under his leadership, making him the oldest manager to achieve this.
