Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith reconcile in Baltimore, calling their romance "brutal and beautiful."
For years, Jada Pinkett Smith and her husband, actor Will Smith, appeared to be the picture of Black love, appearing on Oprah with their children and walking red carpets and attending award presentations side by side.
However, Pinkett Smith claims that she and her spouse were mismatched in terms of how they exhibited their love and affection.
"Will was convinced, 'OK. "If I make it big in this world, I'll be able to provide for you and your family," Pinkett Smith says.
"For him, that is the biggest love language: To protect and provide."
Pinkett Smith claims that her husband's concentration on paying for the family hampered the "masterpiece of connection" she was attempting to create.
Pinkett Smith startled fans last week when she disclosed that she and Will Smith have been separated since 2016.
Keeping the split news hidden allowed her to work through "a lot of anger and resentment," she says."I never got the relationship that I wanted," she says.
But she goes on to say, "It's funny about Will and I - even if the marriage wasn't working, there was still this level of friendship and deep connection between us .
