'Yellowstone' Star Luke Grimes Shared a Season 5 Update That All Fans Will Want to Hear

We know you've been waiting for updates on the Paramount Network hit's final episodes. Luke Grimes, who plays Kayce Dutton, updated People on July 30.

"We have not [started filming the second half of season 5] because of the [WGA] writers strike," he said. Without that, we'd be. But that's priority. We'll start after they fix that."

Happiness for Beginners' star said he'll support his character's plot regardless of Yellowstone's production timetable.

"Here's the thing with Yellowstone and my character: Hope doesn't happen," he said to People. "I just learned to take it as it comes, and that's it."

In June, show creator Taylor Sheridan informed The Hollywood Reporter that he delayed writing in solidarity of the strike, supporting Luke's comments concerning season 5 part 2.

WGA and SAG-AFTRA's strikes make Yellowstone's November premiere "highly unlikely," the report added.

As fans may recall, Kayce Dutton faced a lot in season 5. At the start of the season, his wife Monica (Kelsey Asbille) miscarries, and his adopted brother Jamie (Wes Bentley) and sister Beth (Kelly Reilly) fight.

He is also reconciling with his idea of having to pick between career and family. Needless to say, this guy has more in store, and we'll be on the edge of our seats!
